What a crappy ending
So much for a statement game. The statement the Packers made tonight is "Not quite there yet." Five turnovers doth not make a successful evening boys, and with that the venerable Packer nation gets a reality check. I'm still scratching my head about the conservative play calling the entire second half. My best guess is that Jennings was out and no one was mentioning it, but I saw him at least for the last two or three series. I'm looking forward to hearing the commentary, especially in regards to the play calling. And with that I bid you all a goodnight!

Oh well, its always better to lose early, than late I say.
ReplyDeleteThe Patriots didn't look all that good on Sunday, in fact, it was their worst game yet (trap game).
I didn't see the Seahawk game, but I heard they were dismantled completely and I'm interested to hear about it from St Ides.
Nothing to hear about really.
ReplyDeleteHasselstiff looked fucking AWFUL. He had all day to throw (good job by the O-Line), but couldn't find the open receivers. And when he did, he overthrew them.
It was capped off when he threw a pick at the goal line to end the first half when they were only down 7-0. Go in at least 7-3, jackass.
Time of possession was something like 45 minutes for Pitt. The defense was worn down in the second half, and allowed way too many 3rd down conversions.
The defense really didn't play that badly considering how long they were on the field and that the weather was very hot.
To top things off, Deion Branch hurt his foot and will miss 2-4 weeks, and Pro Bowl FB Mack Strong suffered a spinal injury that forced him to retire yesterday.
I have NO faith in this team. None.
Oh, but if I want to be positive about it, this could be their one "free pass" game where they stink it up. Like against the Bears last year or the Jags the year before.
ReplyDeleteIn 2005, they were 2-2 including a heartbreaking loss to the Redskins in Washington where the potential winning field goal dinked off the upright for Seattle. They were 3-2 at the same point in the season, and then faced the hapless 0-4 Texans on Sunday Night in Seattle and dismantled them, which was the 2nd win in an 11-game winning streak.
This week? They host the 0-4 Saints on Sunday Night in Seattle.
So if you believe in patterns and stuff, this could be what they need. They just can't take the desperate Saints too lightly...
